This 12" LP compiles tracks all but one of which were previously issued in 1950 on two 10" LPs: Mercury MG-C-102 Bud Powell Piano (r2984281) and MG-C-507 Bud Powell Piano Solos (r4582604). "Cherokee", the only track not on those 10" LPs, was released previously on the 1954 Clef sampler MG c-674 The Jazz Scene (r6004272). Note there are also earlier releases of some of this material on 78.
