Notes:

Veteran bluegrass performer Bill Price (c.1934–2000) recorded eight original and two cover songs for this 1985 Folkways release. Singing and playing guitar, Price is joined by Clarence Green on mandolin and background vocals, Rick Norris on banjo, Donnie Scott on dobro, Jim Atkins on bass, Steve Thomas on fiddle, and Gloria Coffey on harmony vocals and tambourine. The song “Honoring the Father of Bluegrass (Big Mun)” is Price’s tribute to his one-time boss and legendary bluegrass musician Bill Monroe. The song “Possum Holler” was written and originally recorded by country music icon George Jones. The liner notes are written by longtime Grand Ole Opry announcer Grant Turner (1912–1991).
